Horus Necklace
Hen + BearIn ancient Egyptian mythology (going back 3000- years BC)- the god Horus had the head of a falcon, along with falcon-like eyes. son of Osiris and Isis, according to the myth, Horus lost his left eye in battle and the god Khonsu restored it. thus, this iconic figure came to become the god of sky and war, with his right eye representing the sun, and his left, the moon. *fun fact: look up the eye of Horus symbol, and then compare it to the RX symbol of modern day medicine... see any similarities?
we've named this beautiful necklace after the famous eye, dainty and "eye-catching" (see what i did there?). made with 18k gold plated brass, eyes are enamel. all hardware is 100% brass. length is 16 inches.
on model from top to bottom: sunny earrings, Horus necklace, Billie necklace, mal de ojo, and the evil eye.
