One Teaspoon
Better for the planet. Better for humans. Better denim for you!
Born in Australia 20 years ago from humble beginnings they’ve since shown unparalleled fashion excellence and a penchant for pushing boundaries. The brand’s unique vision is as much about how you feel, as how you look – an attitude of empowerment, celebrating ‘one’ as an inclusive community and collective and…
“…an overwhelming belief that one small teaspoon of “fantastically rebellious, sex infused, old school rock and roll glamour” goes a long way.”
Since 2018 their design team has taken steps to include more sustainable, environmentally friendly fabrics into their core denim collection like recycled denim, organic cotton and TENCEL™: a semi-synthetic fibre with properties almost identical to cotton but made from renewable wood materials.
In 2019 they introduced cornstarch bags as part of their product packaging. Cornstarch is a renewable plant material. The printing on these bags is vegetable ink, which is also compostable.
A selection of their clothes is produced at one of the most environmentally sustainable mills in Europe--where they recycle the water so it doesn’t get wasted and they use solar power energy to reduce their carbon emissions.
They take garment life seriously, meaning they design and manufacture every piece to be worn for years because they don’t want to create a throwaway fashion mentality. As well, they’ve kept their pricing structure the same for the past 20 years.
