We're making a
QUIET DIFFERENCE
Nation focuses on creating high-quality, mindfully produced garments, with sustainability as an integral part of its process. By making 80% of its clothing in Peru, the native home of Pima Cotton, it reduces its carbon footprint through a localized "seed-to-garment" approach while honouring the region's heritage.
Key partners like San Ramon, Agro Pima—Idetex, and Recytex supply 75% of their raw materials, adhering to strict environmental and ethical standards. While sustainability is not Nation's sole driving force, they strive to consider it at every step—whether through pesticide reduction, drought-tolerant cotton, or efficient digital printing. Their approach balances responsibility with practicality, supporting local communities and preserving traditions while ensuring the highest standards of quality and care.

Nation's production process is centered on ethical labour practices and community empowerment. It is proud to partner with two female-owned factories in Peru, Alpafina and Catálogo S.A.C., which share values of integrity, quality, and respect for people and the planet.
Across all partner factories in Peru, Nation also prioritizes those that have achieved or are actively working toward Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production certification, the gold standard for ensuring humane and fair labour practices. Two of their factories, Diseño ACMM and Catálogo, are already certified, while 4S Textil and Tsonkiri are well on their way, supported by their production partner, World Textile Sourcing (WTS). For smaller operations like TAP, Marga, and Alpafina, WTS provides guidance and oversight to ensure adherence to ethical standards, even as they grow toward certification eligibility.
On average, Nation Pima Cotton t-shirts emit 11.4 kg CO2e.
In other words, it has 34% lower emissions than the
conventional equivalent.
Sustainability runs through every aspect of Nation's production process. Fabric scraps are given new life as mops, rags, mattress fillers, or recycled fibres, helping to create a circular supply chain that minimizes waste. All garments get packaged in compostable bags that biodegrade fully within a year, and they avoid including return shipping labels to reduce unnecessary waste. Every decision is intentional, from paying living wages to ensuring their packaging is as low-impact as possible.
By combining the quality of Peruvian Pima Cotton with Agro Pima's sustainable practices and Nation's commitment to ethical manufacturing, they can produce garments that honour tradition, support communities, and promote a more viable future.
