Australian creative duo, Rob and Tess reimagined the world of hats taking you from day to night, poolside to stage-side and wherever else your life takes you.

Founded in 2011 Lack of Color takes a creative and nostalgic approach by pairing traditional shapes with modern uses of color, texture and quality finishes.

The distinctly Australian aesthetic and down-to-earth appeal of the hats have found a home among the wardrobes of style icons, celebrities and hat lovers throughout the world.

The brand cares deeply for the environment and their global network of creators and manufacturers.

The hats are designed and finished in Australia and hand-made by a range of skilled artisans in the USA, Mexico, China and the Dominican Republic using 100% Australian wool, as well as straw and palm that is sustainably grown, replenished and re-grown for future use.

Their HQ in Burleigh Heads runs on solar power, while all orders are shipped out in 100% recycled cardboard boxes and their swing tags are made from 100% recycled paper.

Lack of Color is based in Australia but also works directly out of Los Angeles to provide international customers with faster, easier access to each collection.

They regularly visit their factories to ensure sustainable and ethical practices are being upheld and trace all elements of the supply chain to ensure the hats are being responsibly made with responsibly sourced materials. All of their factories have BSCI certification.
