Queen of the Hoop

As a self-taught designer from Elora, Ontario she considers herself to be a keen cultural observer and fearlessly inventive designer. She’s passionate about growing a female-led business and creating contemporary pieces that marry creativity with a bold, fearless spirit.

Bird initially started her label with handbags, and then expanded into jewelry in 2010, which quickly proved to be her passion. Her pieces are now available in leading fashion retailers worldwide, from Nordstrom to Revolve, Indigo and Harvey Nichols.

Always making sure the pieces are luxurious and will boast longevity, each design is thoughtfully executed with technical details like custom hinges and clasps.

Jenny’s design objective is to create modern essentials that everyone can wear.

Social responsibility and philanthropy are at the heart of Jenny Bird. Elevating and lifting others up to spread love is important to them. Products are sourced and manufactured responsibly and they don’t work with or support any manufacturer, supplier, or business partner that doesn't operate the same way.

In 2017, they launched The Pin Project, a partnership with Far + Wide Collective that aimed to unlock refugee talent and provide economic opportunity to displaced people and refugees around the world.

In November of 2018, Jenny Bird launched its national partnership with Dress for Success Canada to help empower women to achieve economic independence by providing access to professional attire and tools to thrive in work and in life.

Bird’s husband, Adam, joined as President in 2011. Together the pair worked hard to earn the brand editorial and critical acclaim. They live in west end Toronto with their son, August and daughter, Georgie.
