Every Purchase Supports Eco-Friendly, Sustainable Practices And A Kind And Inclusive Heart
Sensuous, accessible and bright, Boy Smells products elevate your intimate world. Packaged in pink and conceived beyond the gender binary, Boy Smells candles make loving your identity a daily ritual. In 2016, Boy Smells began as an experiment in candle-making in the Los Angeles kitchen of co-founders and real-life partners Matthew Herman and David Kien, both fashion veterans who worked in design (Herman) and product development (Kien)–who began by making the things they’d want to use on a daily basis, products that were fluid and essential.
Boy Smells candles are all developed and designed in Pico Union, Los Angeles with fragrance and natural oils, all-natural coconut wax and beeswax blend. The candles are hand-poured in a reusable glass vessel and hand-labeled in Los Angeles, California.
Boy Smells aims to be an eco-friendly company, with foam free packaging, minimal usages of plastics, and biodegradable shipping materials - we love that!
sandalwood, clay, clove flower, oud and ylang-ylang
The name St. Al is a play on Santal, the French term for sandalwood. This candle has powerful notes of holy wood and exotic florals, layered with undertones of frankincense. To the nose, it’s a sanctified commingling of dominant, protective sandalwood with notes of clay, clove flower, oud and ylang-ylang. It’s a clean scent with a long, ancient history.

For optimal burning, trim wicks to a ¼” before each light to avoid smoking and overheating. Once the flame is extinguished make sure the wick is upright and centered. The first burn of any candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquify. This will ensure an even burn for each light. Refrain from burning candles longer than 3 hours at a time, and never burn a candle when there is less than ¼” of wax at the base. Always protect the surface on which the candle sits.
Candles are for your enjoyment, so burn with love
