Velvet's design benchmarks are the same today as they were in the beginning (back in 1997) - something special, timeless, and always with their luxe, laid-back ethos. They are hugely proud of the fact that they still produce the majority of their collections in America, often in their Los Angeles headquarters supporting a fair, safe environment; including MADE IN USA tags on their tees.

Every year Velvet works with many different charities. Efforts include month-long coat drives at select retail stores as well as donations to The Midnight Mission.  They have also contributed to Dress for Success and Catalyst for International Women’s Day. Both organizations support women in professional independence and workplace inclusion.
