It began in 1997 as an aspiration to create fashion forward tee shirts that embodied the laid-back luxe of LA style. Today it has evolved into full collections recognized for their meticulously crafted, clean elevated staples. Helmed by Creative Director Jenny Graham, the collections are created using only the finest fabrics and are manufactured primarily in the United States.
Velvet by Graham & Spencer creates timeless, long-lasting basics. Above all else, it’s important they produce their clothing in a fair, safe environment; including a MADE IN USA tag on the tees.
They are hugely proud of the fact that they still produce the majority of their collections in America, often in their Los Angeles headquarters supporting a fair, safe environment; including MADE IN USA tags on their tees.
Since its inception, giving back has been a part of the company’s core mission. Every year Velvet works with different charities.
Efforts include month-long coat drives at select retail stores as well as donations to The Midnight Mission. They have also contributed to Dress for Success and Catalyst for International Women’s Day. Both organizations support women in professional independence and workplace inclusion.
Other organizations Velvet has worked with include:
- One Tree Planted
- Black Girls Code
- Speak Your Silence
- Navajo Water Project
- Black Lives Matter
- PS Arts
- Loveland Foundation
Each year Velvet partners with charitable organizations and supports causes through the development of charity tees as well as product and monetary donations including:
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
- National MS Society
- The Art of Elysium
